2:03 Trump campaigned on a promise to appoint Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 case affirming a woman’s constitutional right to end a pregnancy. And as of the start of this month, it didn’t seem like his position had changed.
5:13 – Roe won’t be overturned tomorrow, but the process by which it could be eroded is now clear: state legislators continue passing laws restricting reproductive rights, and those laws, when challenged, could end up in front of a conservative Supreme Court.
9:36 – Thirteen people died and thousands fell ill, in Japan’s deadliest terror attack since World War II. A doomsday cult called Aum Shinrikyo had placed the gas in five train cars during the morning rush hour.
14:25 – It started as a trade skirmish. On Friday, the Trump administration imposed $34 billion of tariffs on high-tech goods from China. Now it’s a full-on trade war.
16:25 – Current staffers tell VICE News how they reacted to the news that Scott Pruitt resigned from the EPA.
19:22 Johnny Marr former The Smiths guitarist, came to #VICENewsTonight to describe his song, “The Tracers,” off his recently released album, “Call the Comet.”
